Why we made this?

I am a ‘dress woman’ 👗, I just love how I feel in a one. However I like to feel comfortable too (these days!). So with comfort, style, sustainability and versatility at the core of our brand, we just had to make this dress. It’s ethically made by a small factory in India – we know the team by name and, we celebrate each other’s success and even birthdays. This is always how I wanted my clothing business to work and my heart swells every time someone chooses to invest in one of our dresses.
NOTE: This item is created using traditional block printing methods and is hand-made by artisans. The 'print' therefore is not always in the same position as shown in these images and can contain minor unique variations.
Style Notes
Like all of our clothing – whether it’s a t-shirt a dress, a kimono or sweatshirt, we believe making clothes that can be worn over and over again in as many situations as possible is key to sustainability. For a boho vibe, pair this dress with a quirky, wide vintage belt and a pair of boots. If you’re looking for a super comfy feel for working from home, a shopping trip or school runs, pair with some funky trainers and let it flow from the waist. Or if you’re out for cocktails, pair with some cute heels, a snazzy bag and statement jewellery. This is also a winner🥇for winter walks – just chuck some chunky boots and a cosy sweater with some woolly tights – the pockets are perfect for dog treats or carrying your phone for those inevitable selfies (you are looking gorgeous after all!)
Fit
The 'HOPE' dress is comfy, comfy, comfy. Designed to not grab or cling and cut 'just so'. Fit is true to size BUT remember you can (or should consider) wearing with a funky contrasting belt to pull in the waist.

- 100% block printed sustainable cotton

- Button up top so you can wear open with a cute cami or close up
- Fitted on the top with a floaty tiered skirt
- Midaxi length (but will shorten easily if you like a midi length)
- I’m wearing the XS and I am 5ft 2 inches – I wear size 8 usually and this is true to size.
- Sleeves are wide enough to ensure it’s comfy to wear

A great dress with a classy but fun print. Great quality, and a very flattering cut. Definitely something to be worn with confidence. Sizing is generous, so if in doubt, size down. A large in New Day Originals is usually a perfect fit for me, but medium worked better in this style.
