Introducing our ‘Lucy’ dress, an embodiment of both style and eco-consciousness and eye-wateringly versatile (check out our style suggestions below if you don’t believe us!). Crafted with care from sustainable cotton, this dress is not only fashion-forward but also a step towards a greener and more sustainable future.
Inspired by the lush beauty of nature, the dress features a vibrant print of bright palm leaves in hues to flatter every skin tone. Evoking a sense of tropical paradise. the vivid colours add a touch of playfulness to your wardrobe.
The shirred bodice which finishes at just the right point on the lower hip, gracefully accentuates your curves, offering a flattering and comfortable fit.
The dress comes with elasticated short sleeves, and a ‘boat neckline’ adding a hint of classic sophistication. Perfect for casual daywear but will easily transition to occasions.
NOTE: This item is created using traditional block printing methods and is hand-made by artisans. The 'print' therefore is not always in the same position as shown in these images and can contain minor unique variations.
Style Notes
With versatility at the heart of our drive for Sustainability, the ‘Lucy’ is a wardrobe essential. Pair with comfortable flat sandals for a relaxed daytime outfit. Complete the look with a crossbody bag (we love the ‘Arabella’ from fellow small business Olivia & Gray). Layer with a light denim jacket and trendy sneakers for evenings sipping an Aperol at the local.If work is on the agenda, layer on a cropped cream blazer and add a pop of colour with a pink or nude loafer.
‘Lucy’ will be the perfect dress for a wedding teamed with a gold heel and matching clutch – add a wide belt for extra waist-cinching appeal. Watch – Heads – Turn!
Fit
We’ve worked hard to make sure the sizing is consistent with the average UK brand so take your ‘usual size ‘as brands like Next, LK Bennet and Boden. This style comes up just right with the shirred elasticated bodice which stops ‘mid-bum’. If you are fuller busted or like things a little more relaxed, size up – you’ll still get that body-flattering shape! Photos here are of our model Daisy who is 5ft 10’ and a couple of Fin who wore the Lucy at a recent family occasion. Fin is 5ft 2 and wears the XS in these photos.

An absolute gem of a blouse . It’s the perfect addition to my wardrobe for the spring season that’s ahead. The colour is so vibrant , it’s a perfect fit ( I am a Uk 10, and wear a size small ) The detailing is intricate and it was complimented so many times when I wore it .
Absolutely love this dress. Fits well lovr the material, thought it might be to warm to wear for work, but was wrong on that account. Lots of nice things said about the dress. Will looking into buying some more.

A great dress with a classy but fun print. Great quality, and a very flattering cut. Definitely something to be worn with confidence. Sizing is generous, so if in doubt, size down. A large in New Day Originals is usually a perfect fit for me, but medium worked better in this style.
