Why we made this?
'GRACE' DRESS IN MIDNIGHT IKAT
Following on from the success of our Olive Ikat and Kiwi Ikat prints, is our Midnight Ikat print. We love how versatile this one is going to be – the black background with its bright accents of colour works well for both warmer and cooler days.
We’ve employed the ‘shirred’ (otherwise known as elasticated) technique again but using a V-neck cut which will flatter both fuller and smaller busts. The elasticated cuff on the sleeve means you can wear it pulled up above the elbow or as a three-quarter sleeve. We’ve used a ‘tiered skirt’, the same as our ever popular Hope Dress. We hope you love it!
NOTE: This item is created using traditional block printing methods and is hand-made by artisans. The 'print' therefore is not always in the same position as shown in these images and can contain minor unique variations.
Style Notes
Our Grace Dress will definitely hold her own at fancy events, paired with a pretty heel and matching bag. But we also see her layered with a snuggly black sweater, bright pink scarf and chunky boots for cooler days. If you’re office-bound, pop on a smart blazer and sleek loafer and you are good to go – go get ‘em tigress..!!
Fit
We’ve worked hard to make sure the sizing is consistent with the average UK brand so take your ‘usual size ‘ as brands like Next, LK Bennet and Boden. This style comes up pretty much true to size. See size chart below. XS = 8, S = 10 through to XXL = 18. I’ve also added a chart with the actual fabric dimensions.
